Welcome Jack Henry!
Close and tight, Jack Henry Porter was held in his father, Braden’s arms. Jack may have been only one week old but he already knew how to communicate where he felt safest. And instinctively his parents, Haylie and Braden, knew exactly where he meant. Close and tight tucked into their warm and loving arms. If you asked me what stood out the most about the Porters, I’d tell you it was their trust and support in each other. Trust was demonstrated by Haylie in Braden’s ability to take a hands-on roll in caring for their sweet newborn son. The support was given by Braden as he anticipated his wife’s needs and graciously meet them. Team work very obviously played a natural part in their relationship.
Holding Jack that day was such a beautiful gift to me. I can remember very vividly the first time I held his own mother, Haylie. I was eleven years old. She was the second among my cousins to be born and she was the first and only girl besides myself. I wasn’t so confident back then to hold such a small baby, yet into my arms she was placed. That was 20 years ago now and now here I was getting to hold her sweet little Jack Henry who just so happened to look just as she did as a baby. I’m sure the fact that he resembled his mother so much was what brought back that beautiful memory.
It was a privilege to be the one to take your one week old photos Jack, and I’m looking forward to taking many more in the future!
With Love,
Christa
